I’m Marija, an architect based in Lithuania who specializes in minimal, modern design with a passion for art and aviation.
Growing up in Vilnius, Lithuania (the center and capital city) known for its historic buildings and rich history, I was lucky to live in an area with such a great atmosphere. Being surrounded by baroque and gothic buildings, it opened my eyes to the world of art and would alter my path in life in more ways than I could ever imagine. Later, I got accepted into the Vilnius Academy of Arts in hopes to become a professional architect, where I learned so much working as an architect’s assistant during my bachelor studies and gaining worthy experience. Around the same time in 2014, my own business was started – “Archišokas” – where I would work with clients to develop interiors for their homes, graphics and other projects. Over the years I worked for a number of architect firms and graduated from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University with a masters degree of architecture, and also found myself taking up new hobbies in the process.
Traveling has always been a huge part in my life, working abroad in USA during my masters studies and experiencing new cultures the last few years has opened up many opportunities and reinforced my skills further. Even as a young girl, drawing houses and buildings were a part of my daily routine and have always let my mind and creativity flow freely. Whether it’s creating something out of nothing or learning something completely foreign to me, no challenge is too difficult to overcome!
